JAWS Stroke Clinics

JAWS Stroke Clinics are designed to help participants form proper stroke techniques for competitive swimming and increase swimmer confidence. Advanced participants may also get proper instruction to increase comfort with diving and turning. All stroke clinics are taught by qualified competitive swimmers.

JAWS  Stroke Clinic (ages 5 – 18)

The JCC Jaws Stroke Clinics prepare children for the world of competitive swimming. Two instructors divide the class based on  swimmers’ abilities and provide competitive swim instruction based on each levels’ needs.

Beginners Stroke Clinic: Participants must be able to complete one length of the pool (25 yards) of freestyle and backstroke. Max size of 10 participants.

Advanced Stroke Clinic: Participants must be able to complete two lengths of pool (50 yards) of freestyle and have a basic grasp of all four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle). Max size of 15 participants.
