Clara Silver, CEO
Clara Silver has been cultivating Jewish community for over thirty years in a variety of Jewish communal settings. Before leading the Kahn JCC, she was Director of Operations at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of Hillel at Eastern Michigan University. She was selected for the JCC Association of North America/Jewish Theological Seminary joint Leadership Training Institute, is a certified JResponder and serves on the national JResponse steering committee. Ms. Silver was also selected as a fellow for the inaugural cohort of the Shalom Hartman Institute’s Hillel Campus Professionals Fellowship. Over the years Ms. Silver has served Jewish congregations of a variety of denominations as a pulpit rabbinical chaplain, cantorial soloist, religious school curriculum developer, interfaith presenter, and education consultant. She has served on multiple boards of Jewish agencies and held multiple volunteer leadership roles with Girl Scouts.
Robin is a life-long athlete, avid runner & triathlete. Robin is nationally certified as a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, two types of group fitness instructor certifications, TRX suspension and Rip trainer, and CPR, AED, and First Aid. Robin has run the Boston Marathon twice. She has done 3 Ironman triathlons as well as dozens of shorter distance triathlons and marathons. Robin has taught Cycling and Strength classes. She enjoys helping others improve their fitness and live stronger, healthier lives. On July 26, 2015, Robin will compete at Ironman Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY. She will be racing on the Multiple Myeloma Research Fund, Teams for a Cure, raising funds for Multiple Myeloma research, as well as research for 40 other types of cancer.

Robby Lewis, Assistant Fitness and Wellness Director
Robby is our Sports Coordinator and works hard to bring exciting sports & recreation opportunities to our members and the wider community. Robby has been a Certified Emergency Medical Technician for 6 years. Pairing his passion for helping people with his enjoyment of exercise, he obtained his CrossFit Level 1 certificate. Shortly after achieving that, Robby obtained his NASM – Personal Trainer Certification. With a broad range of knowledge in human movement science, Robby recently became a certified Rock Tape Medical Professional. This skill enables him to apply kinesiology tape that can help ease pain. It helps decompress an area of inflammation & swelling as well as delay fatigue during periods of intense exercise.
